Pros
- Has a servants heart.
- Claims that board is rubber stamping whatever Supt wishes.
- Feels too much time spent on tests and not basics.
- Feels teacher's salaries in range of $50-$60K should be closer to $70k on high end but not Abbotts $100K(unrealistic).
- Believes some trained teachers and support staff should be able to possess firearms in school
- Favors allowing properly trained school staff to carry firearms
- Voted in the 2018 Republican Primary
Cons
- Not that well prepared or knowledgeable about the position(during interview). Doesn't appear to be ready for a position like this.
- No college degree.
- Not familiar w/IB(International Baccalaueriate), a UN program.
- Didn't know what the capacity ratio for a district was (120%) to consider building a new school.
- While she knew how much was in the bank for emergencies ($165K), she didn't know what bond indebtedness is(over $1 billion)
- Said too much spent on "Support" (rather than teachers) though not sure how much.
- Said student-to-teacher ratio was too high but didn't know how much
- Only attended 1 CISD meeting after deciding to run for office
- Wants ISD funding to be 100% local
- very laid back – not a leader
