Pros

• Highly educated, Texas Certified, retired teacher w/an extremely passionate/conservative bent.

• Native Texan - lived in district for 35 years

• Says students are lacking strong foundation in 3-r's, Civics, History

• Doesn't think lack of funding correlates w/lower test scores(see above)

• She says MISD has too much emphasis on "Social Emotional Learning" and not enough on American Exceptionalism

• Says there should be more emphasis on local school management, than through the state (TEA)

• She questions MISD's 98 rating (of 100) in Financial Integrity

• Prefers ISD -type elections go be conducted in November

• Supports full transparency through online disclosure

• Prefers textbooks in the hands to prevent nefarious online teaching

Cons

• Has tendancy to easily lose focus

• While she know inner-workings of a school district, not as familair w/Magnolia.
