Ted Cruz led the fight against Obamacare with a 21-hour filibuster on Sept 24-25, 2013. As with most modern-day filibusters, his speech did little to change votes, but it did create a national discussion and clearly showed where he stood on the issue while many other Republicans supported the measure.
