An Army and law enforcement veteran will mount another run at serving on the City Council.
Lifelong Conroe resident and business owner Carl White will seek Position 5 on the council in the May 5 election to replace the term-limited Gil Snider. This will be White's fifth attempt since 1990. White shared he is determined to serve the city he loves.
Wants to Create "Think Tanks" to brainstorm ideas that will benefit Conroe;
Develop an Neighborhood Awareness Program Program to address individuals community needs;
Maximize collective strengths to drive innovation and technological growth;
White served 18 years as a Precinct 2 deputy constable. He has 25 years' experieIncreasing Business Development through exposure to capital resources and "best practices"; growning the network of "social capital" to improve services for citizens;
Showing the great features of Conroe to the world through increased tourism.nce with Entergy equipment installation and has been involved with the Conroe Civil Service Commission, Conroe ISD Planning Committee, Montgomery County Hospital District, Metropolitan Child Development Center, Montgomery County Homeless Coalition, Entergy Texas Diversity Council, Montgomery County NAACP as president and Texas Black Business Council of Montgomery County.

Surprisingly has not read over nor is familiar with the Budget, leading us to believe that he's not familiar at all with City finances which illustrates being out-of-touch and can lead to fiscal irresponsibility..
As head of the Conroe Chapter of the NAACP, Mr. White's a proponent of "diversity", which can sometimes give preference to one group of people over another - i.e. quota without involving a "merit-based" process.
Says business/tourism is solution to any economy; our concern is he would use them to pay for social programs.
