What are the three main reasons you are running for this office? Do you see any potential conflicts of interest?

It is an Imperative that The Woodlands residents have a board member that represents their best interests. I'll have their six!

The current board is in lock step toward incorporation,  and not giving residents a clear concise picture of costs; and have undertaken costly studies and allocated millions of taxpayer dollars without seeking inputs from the voters/residents.  

The board uses biased publications like The Villager as a means of disseminating vague info.  Biased rag owned by the Hearst corporation.

Stop a 2019 push for Incorporation.

Get new eyes, fresh ideas, and different perspectives.

What are the three main attributes that make you the most qualified for this position?

Service before self.   Excellence in all I do. Inregrity above all else.

Education!  MBA Economics. Tenacious.

What three changes would you like to see implemented by the Township?

Install Term limits.  Better coordination with County reps.  Lower taxes!

Do you think The Woodlands should become a city or remain unincorporated? Why or why not (what are some of the pro's and cons)?  And if so, when should incorporation occur and why in that time frame? 

For now unincorporated.  Not really time to abandon a model (Special District/aka Township) that has been quite successful.  There is quite a long time frame to better plan and fund incorporation.  Out sourcing is also preferred.

What do you primarily rely on to help you make difficult decisions as it relates to public policy?

Empirical data.  How does the public process their wishes.  Be very objective.  Consult with knowledgable people removed from the issue at hand.

What are your thoughts regarding the 2020 Preliminary budget?  Do you fully support it in full and, if not, what do you object to?

Absolutely need a review at all levels.

The township budget funds all reserves 100% yearly. What is the current surplus and should any of it be returned to the residents or retained in a rainy day fund and if so, how much and why? Any other options for the surplus?

Rainy day funds are a priority.  Residents should get tax relief.  Allocation of $10.5 million to Incorporation is sad.  Shows the poor direction the board is taking.

Should the economic development reserve fund serve as a general fund, to go to multiple projects such as ice-rinks, museums, buildings, street repairs etc. or should it be a project specific only account?

What policies are their currently.

Should the township be funding non-profit organization events such as Interfaith luncheons, senior pick-up services, Education for tomorrow luncheons, etc...with tax dollars.

Is there a current policy?  Are we the sole source of financing for all non-profits??  Every year?

It's been reported that The Woodlands comprises only 20% of households in the county, yet provides almost double that (38.5%) of the county total in property taxes. What would/could you do to correct this gross imbalance of tax inequity?

allocate some or all Incorporation Reseves to redoce taxes.  The current reduction is .0017 cents.  Sad!

What is your position on the Homestead, Over 65 and Disabled Exemptions available to the residents of the Township?

These should be kept.  They've been earned!

It appears that developers are going to build WPX (Woodlands Parkway Extension).  What's your opinion of this and what could be done to stop it?

I believe it has been stopped.  No WPX.  Would have been incrementally a disaster unless you live in Sterling Ridge.

What is your opinion of the WRUD (Woodlands Road Utility District) and how is it useful and what's the downside?

A Special District also.  Commercial property only.  Cannot vote in elections.  Has helped finance Woodlands Roads.  Seems to be diminishing in importance?

Conservative Republican.
