▾ General
Please describe what you believe are the most significant issues in this race, why and what you'll do to address them?
The most significant issue in my race is maintaining a true conservative on the County Executive Committee. We need someone who is supportive of the 2018 adopted CEC bylaws. We need someone that has been involved in the party and has been volunteering and working to elect or keep conservative candiates. We also need someone who has supported liberty minded causes within the country and worked fighting out of control government spending.
I think it is key to have someone who other conservative activists know and can depend on.
Do you promise, if elected, to abide by the RPT platform? And if not, please enumerate what problems you have.
As a State Delegate, we invest a lot of time and resources in assuring our bylaws line up to our conservative values. I stand by them and expect my elected officlals to do the same. If they do not I and other conservative grassroots conservatives work to unseat them.
What differentiates you from your opponents?
1) I have been actively involved in Montgomery County Politics for years.
2) I have been a precinct chair for 6 years
3). I vote in any/all elections.
4) I am not beholden to any elected officlal.
5) I have worked as an election judge on numerous occcasions.
6) My constituents look to me for election/voting information.
What best describes your political ideology most(circle only one).
1. Republican
2. Grassroots
3. Conservative
4. Tea Party
I am a conservative grassroots republican active in the tea party.
Please list 3 federal agencies that are popular in our culture and should be abolished
Department of Education
Internal Revenue Service
United States Enviromental Protection Agency
Should Texas GOP limit their elected officials to 8 years or less from the same office, even though it will force some good candidates to leave an office?
Honestly, I go back and forth in regard to this question. I think in theorty it is a great idea but finding someone to run who holds are conservative values wiith an officials 8 years is up leaves me with some questions.
When you leave office what accomplishment/s do you want to be your hallmark, your legacy, and why?
I want my legacy to be recognized by my children and grandchildren that my political involvement was done in hopes of maintaining America's freedom for them to enjoy.
▾ Taxes
What form of federal tax law do you support (e.g., current, flat tax, fair tax, other) and why?
I am in favor of a consumption tax or flat tax.
A couple of years ago, a resolution was put forth by MoCo GOP to institute a 20% Homestead Exemption. Did you support or oppose this and why?
Absolutely, We are being taxed out of our homes.
▾ 2nd Amendment - guns
Do you believe the Second Amendment grants an individual right or a militia right?
The 2nd admentemant is and individual right neccessary to protect oneself.
▾ 10th Amendment
Please explain your interpretation of the Tenth Amendment and the principle of nullification. Do states have a right of nullification? What should the federal government do if a state attempts nullification?
The 10th Amendment reads as follows "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."
Yes, states reserve the right to nullification but unfortunately they fail to utilizes their right due to being beholden to federal tax dollars.
The Federal government has no constitutional authority if a states were to excercize their right to nullification.
▾ Other civil liberty
Do you support or oppose federal funding for Planned Parenthood and other agencies that perform abortions, both in the U.S. and abroad (even if they use money derived from other sources)?
Absolutely not.
At what point should the "right to life" or "personhood" be granted to new human beings (e.g., at conception, birth, 5 days old, etc)? What action, if any, will you take to reflect this in law?
A life begins at conception. I have fought for the right of the unborn and protection of life when given the opportunity.
▾ Education
Do you support or oppose allowing parents direct the flow of federal education funds (e.g., to their school or home school of choice)? Support? Oppose? Please explain.
NO, I do not support school choice. The School Choice agenda is a way to rein in all forms of education with state/federal money leaving no choice for parents.
If school choice were to pass, those taking state/federal funding through private/homeschool will no longer be able to buy materials or educate their children free of governmentt indoctrination. With government funds comes government mandates and strings.
