Questionnaire

General

Please describe what you believe are the most significant issues in this race, why and what you'll do to address them?

The most important issues are keeping MoCo Red and keeping Republicans in public office.  In the CEC we need conservatives voices to support the platform, pressure our elected officials and advance the Legislative Priorities.

Do you promise, if elected, to abide by the RPT platform? And if not, please enumerate what problems you have.

I actually haven't memorized the Platform but I generally support all of it and don't know of any planks that I don't support.

What differentiates you from your opponents?

At this point I haven't learned or heard anything about my opponent but I believe my opponent to be from the side that has sworn to rid the CEC of it's conservative PC's.

What best describes your political ideology most(circle only one).
1.        Republican
2.        Grassroots
3.        Conservative
4.        Tea Party

I am Tea Party meaning I am Conservative both fiscally & socially.

Please list 3 federal agencies that are popular in our culture and should be abolished

In addition to "congress" I would say Education, EPA & TSA (or at least parts of it).

Should Texas GOP limit their elected officials to 8 years or less from the same office, even though it will force some good candidates to leave an office?

Yes, although 10 years or 2-4-4 would be OK.

When you leave office what accomplishment/s do you want to be your hallmark, your legacy, and why?

To have kept MoCo red and to have advanced our conservative legislation.

Taxes

What form of federal tax law do you support (e.g., current, flat tax, fair tax, other) and why?

The Fair Tax, although without the PreBate.  The consumption tax is already in place in most states. Beans & rice should be excluded, maybe milk & bread.  Other stuff should be taxed.

A couple of years ago, a resolution was put forth by MoCo GOP to institute a 20% Homestead Exemption.  Did you support or oppose this and why?

Don't get me started!!  The MoCo exemption excluded Seniors and some tax jurisdictions also excluded Disabled.  This was a violation of the spirit of the law as implemented by the Legislature for 40 years.  Any tax exemption should benefit all.  Our current system couldn't be worse if you tried!!  We need a fee based and consumption based system that eliminates the cronie capitalism of the Appraisal Districts.

2nd Amendment - guns

Do you believe the Second Amendment grants an individual right or a militia right?

Of Course!

10th Amendment

Please explain your interpretation of the Tenth Amendment and the principle of nullification. Do states have a right of nullification? What should the federal government do if a state attempts nullification?

The federal govt has limited emumerated powers.  Everything else belongs to the State or to The People.  The State should tell the Feds to take a hike when they overstep.  Read Dave Roberts series Patriots of Treason.

Other civil liberty

Do you support or oppose federal funding for Planned Parenthood and other agencies that perform abortions, both in the U.S. and abroad (even if they use money derived from other sources)?

Federal funds should not be used for any private purpose much less something as abominable as abortion.  That's why we owe $22 trillion, plus!

At what point should the "right to life" or "personhood" be granted to new human beings (e.g., at conception, birth, 5 days old, etc)? What action, if any, will you take to reflect this in law?

Conception or 2 weeks, whichever comes first.

Education

Do you support or oppose allowing parents direct the flow of federal education funds (e.g., to their school or home school of choice)? Support? Oppose? Please explain.

If there even needs to be a Federal Education Fund then parents should have a say in it.  They should also have their own skin in that game.

Ethics

Do you agree with precinct chairs involvement in republican primaries? Why or why not?

Agree. And for the same reason that any of us are involved in any elections!

What's your impression of GOP Speaker Dennis Bonnen after he was caught offering a Quid Pro Quo to Empower Texans Michael Quinn Sullivan?  Should Speaker Bonnen resign?  Should he suffer legal ramifications for his action/s?

He was a Tool!  Good riddance.

Is there anything in your background of an embarrassing nature that should be explained before your election? Arrests/Convictions? Bankruptcys?

I was raised in a Democratic enviornment.  Nothing else I can think of.

Immigration

What, if anything, should be done to protect our borders from illegal immigration?

Congress can & should fix it all.  End Birthright Citizenship now.  Enforce EVerify.  Let the Border Patrol do their job.  Deport law breakers now.  Grant limited visa's not citizenship.  End Chain Migration.  Block terrorists countries.

Amnesty comes in many forms.  What's your view as it pertains to Texas?

Immigration should exist for the benefit of the host country.  If a person can benefit the USA and is of good character then citizenship may be appropriate.

Transportation

Do you support or oppose the referendum passed by both the MoCo GOP Executive Committee and SREC to allow voters, at the statewide level, to decide in the voting booth whether or not they want a particular toll road?  Why or why not?

That & other issues as well.

Govt employment has reached the point where a few people decide to spend massive amounts of money on things they know their constituents don't support. We need more votes on issues.

Did you take a public position on the May 9, 2015 Road Bond, and if so, what was it? And in a few sentences, explain why.

If there was a party of NO I would be a member!  Taxes are high enough that most things should be scheduled and covered, at least in part, by operating budgets.  If bonds are needed they should specify what, why, when, where, how, who & how much. No blanket bonds that cover whatever politicians want at the time.

Other

What does being a conservative mean to you?

It means being responsible for oneself and expecting others, govt. included, to be responsible.  It means expecting govt. to be as inconsequential as possible.

Do you support the Montgomery County Republican Party By-Laws as adopted by the CEC on 6/26/18?  And if not, why not?

Yes
