This is a Republican primary race. Do you promise, if elected, to abide by the RPT platform? And if not, please enumerate what problems you have.
Yes, I promise to abide by the Republican Party Platform.
What best describes your political ideology most(circle only one).
1. Republican
2. Grassroots
3. Conservative
4. Tea Party
I'm a far right, grassroots, conservative. The Tea Party was formed as a result of a grassroots, conservative movement opposing the government over reach of the Obama Administration. I share the same principles and values as the Tea Party and I am proud to be a member. Although I consider myself a lifelong Republican, the Republican Party has become infiltrated with people that don't share Republican values. In reality, they claim to be conservative when running for office as a Republican, but their actions after becoming elected tell a much different story. These RINOS belong in the Democrat Party. They are the Mitt Romneys and Liz Cheneys of the party. They exist at the federal, state and to my surprise the local level. Yes, even conservative Montgomery County is being run by RINOS. They actively undermine the Republican Party Platform. The main reason i'm running for Precinct Chair is get conservative, grassroots candidates elected while exposing RINOS for who they really are. DEMOCRATS!
There's discussion about making major revisions to the RPT Platform. Please describe the nature of any major changes you support.
I oppose making any major revisions or condensing the RPT Platform. All 337 planks have been debated and voted on. The detailed verbage provides much needed clarity.
Should the county GOP chair be involved with fundraising? Why or why not?
Yes, absolutely! The county GOP chair should definitely be involved in fundraising. He is the leader of the party at the local level and it's his job to grow the party as a whole. Fundraising is a big part of that. The County Chairman should remain completely nuetral by refraining from using his position and party resources to advance his favored groups, while suppressing groups that don't agree with his agenda.
Do you like the Steering Committee style of leadership currently in place or that of just a county chairman?
I fully support the leadership style of the Steering Committee, as it's members are elected by the CEC, so it's more representative of the grassroots. For years, the party was run by the County Chairman, who governed from the top down, which was not representative of the people.
Do you think the 'Republican' brand should be used by PACs in their names that may deceive voters? Why or why not?"
I do not agree with PACs using the "Republican" brand in their name as it is deceptive to voters. Since the Republican Party does not endorse in the primary, it is dishonest for PACs that have the word "Republican" in their name, to pass out their voter's guides, as it tricks voters into believing those candidates have the official endorsement of the Republican Party. Many voters are tricked into believing they are voting for the most conservative candidates because the voter's guide has the word "Republican" in it. What the voters don't know is that most of the endorsed candidates have contributed thousands of dollars to theses deceptive PACs, which in turn paid for their own endorsement.
Do you beieve that the county chair/precinct chairs should actively participate in at least one committee?
Yes.
Are you willing to put in the time necessary to attend CEC meetings, additional committee meetings, training sessions, blockwalking, etc?
Yes, I am commited to putting in the extra time and work that is required to be an effective Precinct Chair. I'm not running just to fill a seat. I am running to advance conservative principles, increase conservative voter turnout and to help get GENUINE conservatives elected to office.
How do you believe precinct chairs should be involved in elections? (election judge, clerk, none?)
I do not believe Precint Chairs should be involved with the actual election. The County pays people to train and work the elections. It is the responsibility of the Precinct Chairs to greet and interact with the voters. I do think Precinct Chairs should recruit people to work at the polls. It is the responsibility of the Precinct Chairs to conduct their precinct conventions.
What's your position on Texas House Speaker Dade Phelan?
Speaker Dade Phelan is a big RINO that belongs in the Democrat Party. He did nothing but undermined the Republican Party when he appointed 14 Democrats to serve as committee chairs.
