What are the 3 largest challenges currently facing this position/office and your road map to address them?

I believe the three largest challenges MISD is currently facing are staff retention, student/teacher ratios and rapid growth.

I believe we need to get ahead of the growth curve and start planning now. My road map to address these challenges would include approaching my fellow board members to create a district task force. It would include teachers, parents, staff, administration and any other community stakeholders identified and be tasked with identifying the issues within these challenges and posing mutually agreeable solutions. I believe that by doing this it would increase communication at all levels within our district as well as increase trust between the school board and the community, ultimately supporting our common goal of ensuring our students are successful.

In every position that I have held I have had to have a criminal background check and I have passed without concerns. I have not had anything embarrassing in nature that I am aware of and I have had no arrests or convictions.  My parents always told me that I was a direct representative of them and held me in high standards to follow the law and not do anything that would tarnish this. I believe that I have done a good job in that.
