The SBOE are elected officials who adopt policies, TEKs, and choose teaching materials and textbooks in public schools. The SBOE should take into consdieraton all public comments and concerns brought to them by their constituents when making decisions.

Common Core- Texas does not have common core math in their TEKS and it should remain that way.
Critical Race Theory- Texas does not have CRT in their TEKS and it shoud remain that way. I'm against teaching CRT.
Social Emotional Learning - SEL is not in the curriculum. It's not in the TEKS.
International Bacculaureate- CISD does not have the IB program.

The SBOE should develop standards that are clearly defined in order to prevent pornographic materials from getting into the hands of our schoolchildren.

American history should be taught to our students in a classical manner in which the sacrifices that our founding fathers made in establishing this country are celebrated along with sacrifices of those who gave their lives for our freedom.
What is the State of Texas school system ranked in literacy and what would your plan be to make it No. 1 in the country?
Texas schools rank 43rd in the nation in education and 49th in literacy. Texas needs to remove balanced literacy programs and bring back teaching the science of reading.
What is your position about parental choice and charter schools?
Parents have the ability to choose their child's educational path whether private school, homeschool, traditional public school or charter schools.
In your opinion, what are the three most important roles of the school board and if elected, how would you contribute to those important roles??
The 3 most important roles of the school board are hiring the superintendent, approving the annual budget, & setting the tax rate. I would ensure that the distirct is being fiscally responsible and seek to maintain the low tax rate.

2. I am a product of CISD and CISD parent with children currently in the district in CISD so I have an invested interest in ensuring a quality education.
