Questionnaire

General

What 2 things about your opponent do the voters need to know?

I see a lot of HOA’s popping up and the decline of non-HOA neighborhoods on the decline. I have not seen my opponent in the any of the meetings I go to.

This is a Republican primary race.  Do you promise, if elected, to abide by the RPT platform? And if not, please enumerate what problems you have.

I agree with most aspects but some public officials have self-interests that do not benefit the general public.

Define what the word "Conservative" means to you.

A conservative is when you look at your bank account and not spend more than you have. Not taking an oath just to finish your election process.

Are you willing to put in the time necessary to attend CEC meetings, additional committee meetings, training sessions, blockwalking, etc?

I will do all that I can do to avail myself for all the afore mentioned activities as long as the activities do not conflict with my work schedule.

Do you think the 'Republican' brand should be used by PACs in their names that may deceive voters? Why or why not?"

I think at this moment in time PAC has more N.O.W backing than conservative proud Americans.

What best describes your political ideology most(circle only one).

2.        Grassroots
3.        Conservative

How do you believe precinct chairs should be involved in elections? (election judge, clerk, none?)

I believe the precinct chair is a vital role as they are the most connected to the voters and the daily happenings in t their community.

Do you like the Steering Committee style of leadership currently in place or that of just a county chairman?

I believe the steering community is a good platform. I have this belief because one person should not have the power to decide how a whole community is run and led.

Do you beieve that the county chair/precinct chairs should actively participate in at least one committee?

Yes. The county chair should know what is going on in other committees.

Should the county GOP chair be involved with fundraising? Why or why not?

The county GOP should be involved in what benefits the community. If a fundraising will help improve the lives of the community then yes, but if the fundraising is for personal benefits then a county chair should not be involved in fundraising.

Should party primaries be "open" or "closed" & why?

Yes it should be open. The United States was created for and by the people, if the primaries are closed then they are no longer for the people and only benefit a selected few.

Should the GOP County Chair be selected by the elected County Executive Committee, or in the Open primaries where Democrats can cross over for more moderate candidates?

Yes, CEC.

There's discussion about making major revisions to the RPT Platform. Please describe the nature of any major changes you support.

I believe the current system works. There needs to be elected officials that believe in the current platform and not try to change it.

What's your position on Texas House Speaker Dade Phelan?

I believe there is more to his story than meets the eye. The situation should be handled with a level head and give him his due process.

Budget

Would you support legislative action to establish a salary framework (possibly related to the Gov. salary) for all taxpayer funded employees with a stipulation that elected officials be required to get voter approval to exceed that framework for their own salaries?

I would support a legislative action to establish a salary framework that requires voter approval to adjust their own salaries. Being an elected official is a privilege not a position to create wealth.

Education

Do you support or oppose social programs in our schools (like C-Scope, Common Core, CRT, International Baccalaureate, SEL, etc.)? Why or why not?

I oppose the current school system as it does not teach the future generation anything that will benefit the world.

Ethics

Is there anything in your background of an embarrassing nature that should be explained before your election? Arrests/Convictions? Bankruptcys?

I do not have anything that would be a concern.

Do you agree with precinct chairs involvement in republican primaries? Why or why not?

The precinct chair should be involved in republican primaries. The precinct chairs have the most interaction with the citizens at the grass roots level, they know what the people want and what the people need. If they are involved in the primaries they can help put candidates on the ballot that are willing and able to work with the citizens to ensure their voices are heard and their concerns are dealt with.

Should the county GOP chair be involved in any other political organizations, including PAC's, while serving a term as the chairman? Why or why not?

Yes. If the chairman’s schedule allows the involvement in other political organizations, and his interests do not conflict with the people’s interests.

At what point should the "right to life" or "personhood" be granted to new human beings (e.g., at conception, sign of heartbeat, 3 months of pregnancy, birth, 5 days old, etc)? What action, if any, will you take to reflect this in law?

Life begins at conception.

Immigration

What, if anything, should be done to protect our borders from illegal immigration?

What, if anything, should be done to protect our borders from illegal immigration?

The current steps that have been put into place are ideal and have the potential to be successful in ensuring that our borders are protected from illegal immigration, but the system is not being implemented as it was originally designed.

Other

What does being a conservative mean to you?

A conservative is when you look at your bank account and not spend more than you have. Not taking an oath just to finish your election process.

List 3 changes that should be made to how elections are conducted in Montgomery County.

  • Every voter should be able to take their voter card home and there should be a system in place that allows the voter to verify that their vote went to their candidate.
  • There should be an open discussion where the voters are given the opportunity to have a Q and A session with the candidates and be able to put topics of concern to be discussed.
  • Voter education should be introduced in high school. The students should be taught what the value of voting is and how the choices they make will affect their lives.

Do you support current RPT chair Matt Rinaldi in full and if not, what do you disagree with?

I have not had a chance to really know much about Matt Rinaldi. I believe given the chance to have a conversation with him, I would be able to gauge what his reason for being in politics is. It would be a great opportunity to discuss improvements that would improve Montgomery County. I don’t think it would be fair to have an opinion on a man I have never met.
