Also, the Texas Eagle Forum PAC has given it's official endorsement of the MCTP Recommended candidates for Precinct Chairs, as well as the personal endorsement from Cindi Castilla, President of TEF!!

Questionnaire

General

What 2 things about your opponent do the voters need to know?

  • It's been four years since my opponent won the chair and nobody that I know in this precinct has heard a single word from him. Our previous chair was engaged, informed and communicated to the precinct.
  • It's difficult to get to know my opponent when there has been no communication, but I do know that he is affiliated with MC Precinct 2 Commissioner Riley.

This is a Republican primary race.  Do you promise, if elected, to abide by the RPT platform? And if not, please enumerate what problems you have.

I will.

Define what the word "Conservative" means to you.

  • God, family and country shall be foundational for governance
  • Small government - essential to ensure liberty and freedom
  • Local control - is sometimes messy, but always worth the effort
  • Massive debts are results of a tax and spend government - Indebting our future generations is unacceptable
  • The right to bear arms is paramount to our nation - The 2nd amendment must ALWAYS be defended
  • Keep out (and throw out) policies like DEI in our public schools that teach our students how to be victims
  • Abolishing the horrific practice of abortion in Texas.

Are you willing to put in the time necessary to attend CEC meetings, additional committee meetings, training sessions, blockwalking, etc?

  • I don't know if my opponent has, but I am willing to put in the time.

Do you think the 'Republican' brand should be used by PACs in their names that may deceive voters? Why or why not?"

No! We have seen these bait-and-switch tactics funded with money from the left to fool voters into voting in establishment candidates that either do nothing, or do a lot with ideals and value systems that are incompatible with conservatism.

What best describes your political ideology most(circle only one).
1.        Republican
2.        Grassroots
3.        Conservative
4.        Tea Party

  • Tea Party

How do you believe precinct chairs should be involved in elections? (election judge, clerk, none?)

Election judge or election clerk are certainly duties for a precinct chair in addition to running the precinct convention after the election. Precinct chairsshould be involved in elections, as this is the grassroots of the party.

Do you like the Steering Committee style of leadership currently in place or that of just a county chairman?

  • The closer to the voters, the better the control. The county chairman should be not much more than an administrative position.

Do you beieve that the county chair/precinct chairs should actively participate in at least one committee?

If they would like to fine, but that's why we have elections. If the voters think that the chair isn't involved enough, then they should be challenged in the primary. I do not believe participation should be mandated, due to unexpected consequences.

That's why I am running for this chair.

Should the county GOP chair be involved with fundraising? Why or why not?

No. As I answered earlier, the county chair should be more of an administrative position. Leave the work of the party, including fundraising to the committee level. If fundraising is left to the highest level, that leaves the door wide open to misuse and abuse.

Should party primaries be "open" or "closed" & why?

I am generally OK with the open primary model, because I think that in general, voters that are "undecided" will generally break Republican. That being said, I think that the reality is that there are far fewer "undecided" voters than the media would want us to believe.

Should the GOP County Chair be selected by the elected County Executive Committee, or in the Open primaries where Democrats can cross over for more moderate candidates?

Probably the one pitfall of the open primary model and the way to correct it is to allow the CEC to elect the county chair.

There's discussion about making major revisions to the RPT Platform. Please describe the nature of any major changes you support.

From the RPT website: https://texasgop.org/legislativepriorities88/

I agree and support all of the bulleted points.

I hate to answer a question with a question, but what major revisions in particular shall we discuss?

What's your position on Texas House Speaker Dade Phelan?

Dade Phelan needs to be thrown out of the speakership! It is disgraceful what he did to our excellent A.G., Ken Paxton.

Budget

Would you support legislative action to establish a salary framework (possibly related to the Gov. salary) for all taxpayer funded employees with a stipulation that elected officials be required to get voter approval to exceed that framework for their own salaries?

I like the voter approval stipulation, but who will set the set the initial salary rates? All of the salaries are probably inflated to start, and they're certainly not going to support cutting their own salaries. The vagueness of this question makes it difficult to answer completely.

Education

Do you support or oppose social programs in our schools (like C-Scope, Common Core, CRT, International Baccalaureate, SEL, etc.)? Why or why not?

I oppose all of the social programs listed above!

I ran for school board (Tomball ISD) in 2018 and was interviewed by a panel of seven interviewers of the CCHC (Conservative Coalition of Harris County) and received a rating of 100%.

I was the ONLY candidate for school board that the CCHC had EVER interviewed who was critical of the TASB. The TASB, for your tax dollars, will sell your local school district boilerplate, woke policy that you can easily implement in your schools and unfortunately, most do.

The panel told me personally that I was the only candidate they had ever interviewed who had been critical of TASA & TASB.

Ethics

Is there anything in your background of an embarrassing nature that should be explained before your election? Arrests/Convictions? Bankruptcys?

No, nothing.

Do you agree with precinct chairs involvement in republican primaries? Why or why not?

Democrat precinct chairs involved in republican primaries? No.

Republican precinct chairs involved in republican primaries? Absolutely, yes. Grassroots participation in the election process is paramount to our movement.

Should the county GOP chair be involved in any other political organizations, including PAC's, while serving a term as the chairman? Why or why not?

No! The chair has a job to do, and the chair should not be fooling around with shady PAC's to ensure that they are in office perpetually.

At what point should the "right to life" or "personhood" be granted to new human beings (e.g., at conception, sign of heartbeat, 3 months of pregnancy, birth, 5 days old, etc)? What action, if any, will you take to reflect this in law?

I have always been pro-life and I believe life begins at conception and that moment should be defined as a "new human being." Overturning Roe v. Wade was a good first step in taking decisions out of the federal government and returning it to the state level, where it belongs. We should continue to support good and effective legislation like the Texas Heartbeat Act as first steps here in Texas.

Immigration

What, if anything, should be done to protect our borders from illegal immigration?

I believe that the "Remain in Mexico" policy supported by the Trump administration is the single most effective way to control illegal immigration, outside of physical barriers, like walls and fences.

This is an absolute crisis that has been created by the current administration. We all know that so-called "migrants" crying political asylum is a farce and without returning illegals to their home countries to await their "asylum" trial is effectively letting all comers in, with no consequences. The worst part about the current policy is that while the majority of border crossers are from Mexico, Guatemala and other Latin countries, the open border has invited criminals from China and the Middle East.

Other

What does being a conservative mean to you?

Being a conservative means small government, local control, protecting the rights of the unborn, upholding the right to bear arms and allegiance to God.

List 3 changes that should be made to how elections are conducted in Montgomery County.

Election integrity should be the number one priority of our party. We saw what happened in 2020 and you can be certain that plans and preparations are being made to repeat what worrked to steal elections all over the country.

Do you support current RPT chair Matt Rinaldi in full and if not, what do you disagree with?

When I answer the question, it is now different than when I read the question, but I'll take the context to mean Matt Rinaldi, not James Dickey...

I do support RPT chair Matt Rinaldi. But, with everyone in elected office, you have to take it day-by-day and re-evaluate continually.
