What 2 things about your opponent do the voters need to know?
Voters need to know that Montgomery County and Texas State politics have good and bad actors within the same Republican party. The good actors are committed to limited government, constitutional principles, and restraining those who would use their positions for greed. The bad actors are willing to compromise with liberal Democrats on important points in order to retain power. I do not know anything about my opponent but I hope that she is knowledgeable about these conflicts of interest within the Republican party.
This is a Republican primary race. Do you promise, if elected, to abide by the RPT platform? And if not, please enumerate what problems you have.
I support the main points of the RPT platform though I am not confident I can defend every facet of every detail of the enumerated points. In particular I support this point:
I also suppport point 58 on flood control as especially relevant to East Montgomery County.
Regarding point 101 establishing Educational Savings Accounts for Texas students, I am currently neutral. I am concerned that despite point 102 regarding "no strings attached" for homeschool students, if Texas tax dollars are used for private school and homeschool students it opens the door to further regulation of private education. I understand the goal is to diversify options to the compromised public education system, but I am in doubt whether this is the best way to do it. Although all Texan parents may not be able to afford private or home school, the status quo does already give Texan parents full freedom to choose the education they wish. I need to continue my study of this topic.
Define what the word "Conservative" means to you.
The word Conservative means that we must have something of value to conserve. I believe that is first of all the moral and Christian foundation of this country. Morality is not subjective but is based on an unchanging standard, which is the word of God. Conservatives must not make compomises with secular ethics in order to pursue power.
Second of all, being conservative means protecting Constitutional principles including the division of powers and limited government.
Are you willing to put in the time necessary to attend CEC meetings, additional committee meetings, training sessions, blockwalking, etc?
To the best of my ability, yes.
Do you think the 'Republican' brand should be used by PACs in their names that may deceive voters? Why or why not?"
No I do not think this should be allowed. The Republican Party of Texas is a specific organization and ancillary organizations that are not controlled by it should not use its name.
What best describes your political ideology most(circle only one).
1. Republican
2. Grassroots
3. Conservative
4. Tea Party

How do you believe precinct chairs should be involved in elections? (election judge, clerk, none?)
Yes, it is vital that empowered citizens be participants in running elections. However precinct chairs also have responsibility to educate the voters in their precincts, which can be done outside the polls in the parking lot, as well as by block walking and other means.
Do you like the Steering Committee style of leadership currently in place or that of just a county chairman?
A committee is preferable because they are more able to govern based on representative principles than a single county chairman.
Do you beieve that the county chair/precinct chairs should actively participate in at least one committee?
Yes
Should the county GOP chair be involved with fundraising? Why or why not?
I do not believe the county GOP chair should be involved in fundraising for the precinct chairs if he is elected by them (not the current format), but he or she could be involved in fundraising for other state offices.
Should party primaries be "open" or "closed" & why?
I believe primaries should be closed so that there will not be influence of bad actors in the primary.
Should the GOP County Chair be selected by the elected County Executive Committee, or in the Open primaries where Democrats can cross over for more moderate candidates?
It would be better for the county chair to be selected by the elected County Executive Committee. This also represents the original intent of the Constitution, whereby the President was to be chosen by the Representatives.
There's discussion about making major revisions to the RPT Platform. Please describe the nature of any major changes you support.

What's your position on Texas House Speaker Dade Phelan?
Dade Phelan has disqualified himself from his position in multiple ways. He is a burden on the party and on the Texas House and should resign.
