Questionnaire

General

What 2 things about your opponent do the voters need to know?

I know Michael Walding was set to replace Brady Walding as Precinct Chair 39 after Brady Walding resigned.

This is a Republican primary race.  Do you promise, if elected, to abide by the RPT platform? And if not, please enumerate what problems you have.

Yes, I promise to abide by the RTP Platform.

Define what the word "Conservative" means to you.

Limited government interaction.

Enforcement of the US and Texas Constitutions.

Protection and Sovereignty of US borders.

Fiscal responsibility, governement should only fund programs for the protection of American citizens.

Are you willing to put in the time necessary to attend CEC meetings, additional committee meetings, training sessions, blockwalking, etc?

Yes

Do you think the 'Republican' brand should be used by PACs in their names that may deceive voters? Why or why not?"

No. For the simple fact that it could be used to deceive voters. A particular PAC could claim to be respresenting the Republican Party, however, their true intent may be to support more non-Repbublican platforms & candidates.

What best describes your political ideology most(circle only one).
1.        Republican
2.        Grassroots
3.        Conservative
4.        Tea Party

Grassroots

How do you believe precinct chairs should be involved in elections? (election judge, clerk, none?)

Precinct chairs should work with county elections administration to ensure election codes are being followed.

The Precinct Chair should be present at all elections held with the respective precinct, and if possible, be the election judge.

Do you like the Steering Committee style of leadership currently in place or that of just a county chairman?

Yes, the Steering Committee is the correct style, so the power does not reside with one individual.

Do you beieve that the county chair/precinct chairs should actively participate in at least one committee?

Yes. The respective chair needs to be engaged in a committee, so they have ownership in representing their precinct. Again if only a few are involved in committees, the county is not truely represented.

Should the county GOP chair be involved with fundraising? Why or why not?

The County GOP chair should be involved in fundraising for the GOP. If, in a general election, the GOP candidate needs fundraising support, then the County Chair should be involved.

Should party primaries be "open" or "closed" & why?

Closed. Non members of a Party should not be allowed to participate in the selection process of Party candidates.

Should the GOP County Chair be selected by the elected County Executive Committee, or in the Open primaries where Democrats can cross over for more moderate candidates?

The GOP County Chair should be elected by the County Executive Committee.

There's discussion about making major revisions to the RPT Platform. Please describe the nature of any major changes you support.

Election Intgrity.

Securing the Texas Border with Mexico.

Zero public funding of Abortions.

School Choice for Parents.

What's your position on Texas House Speaker Dade Phelan?

Dade Phelan needs to be removed as Texas House Speaker.

Budget

Would you support legislative action to establish a salary framework (possibly related to the Gov. salary) for all taxpayer funded employees with a stipulation that elected officials be required to get voter approval to exceed that framework for their own salaries?

Yes.

Education

Do you support or oppose social programs in our schools (like C-Scope, Common Core, CRT, International Baccalaureate, SEL, etc.)? Why or why not?

I do not support social programs in tax funded schools.

Ethics

Is there anything in your background of an embarrassing nature that should be explained before your election? Arrests/Convictions? Bankruptcys?

No.

Do you agree with precinct chairs involvement in republican primaries? Why or why not?

Yes, precint chairs are representatives of the RTP and should be involved in primaries.

Should the county GOP chair be involved in any other political organizations, including PAC's, while serving a term as the chairman? Why or why not?

The County GOP Chair should represent the Republican Party in Montgomery County. If they are involved in other political organizations, including PACs, representing the role of county chair, this must be disclosed and should not be allowed.

At what point should the "right to life" or "personhood" be granted to new human beings (e.g., at conception, sign of heartbeat, 3 months of pregnancy, birth, 5 days old, etc)? What action, if any, will you take to reflect this in law?

Right to Life begins at conception. I will support candidates that ban abortions in Texas and create laws the enforce legal penalties for performing abortions in Texas.

Immigration

What, if anything, should be done to protect our borders from illegal immigration?

Enforce the US Constitution Article 4 Section 4-declared invasion.

Invoke Article 1, Section 10, Clause 3 of US Constitution-defend the State of Texas via Texas Military.

Deny any public funds for "Sanctuary Cities/Counties"

Demand Federal and State agencies enforce current immigration laws.

Other

What does being a conservative mean to you?

Fiscal responsibilty to tax payer dollars.

Enforcement of the US and Texas Constitutions.

Limited government interaction.

List 3 changes that should be made to how elections are conducted in Montgomery County.

Same day voting.

Hand counted paper ballot audits at the Precinct level prior to being submitted to Election Central.

Updating voter roles for Montgomery County and provide printed copy to be used on election day.

Do you support current RPT chair Matt Rinaldi in full and if not, what do you disagree with?

I support RPT Chair Rinaldi.
