What 2 things about your opponent do the voters need to know?
1. Tom Conley lives in Montgomery, TX
2. Tom Conley is a Republican
This is a Republican primary race. Do you promise, if elected, to abide by the RPT platform? And if not, please enumerate what problems you have.
I have NO problems, myself, with abiding by the RPT platform. The only "personal" issue I "may have in the future" that has just come to light is the ability to attend EVERY meeting over the next few months. My husband of 51 years, a retired Marine, is having a biopsy on Monday morning, December 18th, and we don't know what that outcome is going to be until late December. I will always perform the duties that I have pledged to the Republican Party to the BEST of my ability, My passion is to help save my Country.
Define what the word "Conservative" means to you.
My belief on the word "Conservative" is that Conservatives believe we have the right to bear arms per the 2nd Amendment of the Constitution. I feel that Conservatives are a more Patriotic Party who believe in the Rule of Law, Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Religion and the majority choose a closer walk with God when making decisions and helping others in times of need.
Are you willing to put in the time necessary to attend CEC meetings, additional committee meetings, training sessions, blockwalking, etc?
Absolutely! i helped Suzanne Rappatoni over the last 2 years and served as an election clerk. I loved blockwalking and meeting the neighbors. Iam also very fond of training sessions. I feel the more I learn, the more I am able to help others.
Do you think the 'Republican' brand should be used by PACs in their names that may deceive voters? Why or why not?"
ABSOLUTELY NOT! It appears to me and what I have read lately regarding deception that has leaked into our Montgomery County Republican Party, that this has been terribly abused in the past, and when voters go to the polls and are handed a ballot that says ‘Republican’, they should have confidence that it is actually a ‘Republican’ they are voting for!.
What best describes your political ideology most(circle only one).
1. Republican
2. Grassroots
3. Conservative
4. Tea Party
If I had to choose only one "TEA PARTY" would be my ideology.
How do you believe precinct chairs should be involved in elections? (election judge, clerk, none?)
Absolutely! In fact, I would like to know more about the training for election judge.
Do you like the Steering Committee style of leadership currently in place or that of just a county chairman?
I do feel that if a Steering Committee is currently in place, and it is helping our party, then it should remain in place. When government or committees get "too big", I feel things could get contentious. Until that time, I feel the Tea Party should remain with the Steering Committee style of leadership.
Do you beieve that the county chair/precinct chairs should actively participate in at least one committee?
Yes I do! It is essential that the Precinct Chairs participate in as much as they can. It keeps our party stronger.
Should the county GOP chair be involved with fundraising? Why or why not?
I feel that, unless the county GOP chair has been totally vetted and has proven, over time, to be honest and supportive of the Party. However, it appears that this has already come to pass, and fraudulent practices are currently happening. I would feel that any future GOP chair must have a time limit to prove their honesty and character prior to any involvement in fundraising. Political corruption is Poison to our state and our country!
Should party primaries be "open" or "closed" & why?
I vote for "Closed". In my opinion, "Open" would open the door for sabotage...and we have had too much of that with past elections around the country!
Should the GOP County Chair be selected by the elected County Executive Committee, or in the Open primaries where Democrats can cross over for more moderate candidates?
GOP County Chair should be elected by the CEC to keep the election HONEST!
There's discussion about making major revisions to the RPT Platform. Please describe the nature of any major changes you support.
I have reviewed The Eight Legislative Priorities for the 88th Session of the TX Legislature:
1. PROTECT OUR ELECTIONS: - Without fair elections, we have no protection, and we can lose our country. I agree that the only mail in ballots are for disabled, military, and citizens that are out of state. I WOULD LIKE FOR THEM TO ALSO CONSIDER THOSE CITIZENS/MILITARY WHO ARE BEDRIDDEN AT HOME OR IN A FACILITY, AND THEY ARE UNABLE TO CAST THEIR VOTE DUE TO LACK OF TRANSPORTATION OR ILLNESS. I am totally onboard with getting rid of the machines because they ARE connected to the Internet! I have seen the proof on documentation that is posted on Frank Speech, and I don't want China changing any more votes! I am in total favor of handcounting votes no matter how long it takes to count them! I am totally onboard with reducing the time allowed for early voting and eliminating the 3 day gap between early voting and election day and to establish closed primaries in Texas.
2. SECURE THE BORDER AND PROTECT TEXANS: This is a MUST!!! I agree with every word in this Priority!
3. BAN GENDER MODIFICATION OF CHILDREN: - ABSOLUTELY!!!!!
4.STOP SEXUALIZING TEXAS KIDS: ABSOLUTELY!!!!!
5. BAN DEMOCRAT CHAIRS: If this can be accomplished legally, I am all for it, INCLUDING PROVEN RHINO'S
6.ABOLISH ABORTION IN TEXAS: I am a mom of 2 beautiful girls with their own familes, and I cannot comprehend someone having an abortion because it wasn't "in their plan". Life is precious, and given to us by God Almighty! What sorrow He must endure when abortions happen. I agree and would be proud with Abolishing Abortion in TX!
7. DEFEND OUR GUN RIGHTS: I totally agree with this Priority and would like it to also include prohibiting firearm confiscation without due process.
8. PARENTAL RIGHTS AND EDUCATIONAL FREEDOM:I totally agaree with this Priority!
What's your position on Texas House Speaker Dade Phelan?
From what I have read, I feel that he is no longer representing Conservatives, as he should, and is not to be trusted as I believe he was in on trying to bring down AG Ken Paxton
