Questionnaire

General

What 2 things about your opponent do the voters need to know?

nothing as I do not know her

This is a Republican primary race.  Do you promise, if elected, to abide by the RPT platform? And if not, please enumerate what problems you have.

I promise to abide by the RPT platform.

Define what the word "Conservative" means to you.

Limiting big government. Power back to the locals.

Fiscal responsibility. Tax and spend less. Spend where it counts for the benefit of the people.

No social or political programs in our public schools. Parents rights.

Rule of law. Judicial reform. Conservative constitutional judges.

Protect life.

Are you willing to put in the time necessary to attend CEC meetings, additional committee meetings, training sessions, blockwalking, etc?

Yes !

Do you think the 'Republican' brand should be used by PACs in their names that may deceive voters? Why or why not?"

No as PACs do not always represent the party platform or the people's will.

What best describes your political ideology most(circle only one).
1.        Republican
2.        Grassroots
3.        Conservative
4.        Tea Party

3. Conservative

How do you believe precinct chairs should be involved in elections? (election judge, clerk, none?)

Election judge when not running. Or at least support the poll location to have what is needed to be successful (people, equipment, etc)

Supporting candidates in general elections (not primaries)

Do you like the Steering Committee style of leadership currently in place or that of just a county chairman?

I would lean towards steering committee, but do not have direct experience how that has been working. Thoughts are that a group can keep power in check/alignment with the majority.

Do you beieve that the county chair/precinct chairs should actively participate in at least one committee?

Yes at least one.

Should the county GOP chair be involved with fundraising? Why or why not?

After primary is over. Only with some oversight (maybe CEC?).

Money corrupts and may steer them away from serving the county and its people.

Should party primaries be "open" or "closed" & why?

Closed, Open primaries allow for party crossover to affect which/what candidates are in the general. The opposite party should not be able to affect/select our party candidates.

Should the GOP County Chair be selected by the elected County Executive Committee, or in the Open primaries where Democrats can cross over for more moderate candidates?

By the elected CEC members

There's discussion about making major revisions to the RPT Platform. Please describe the nature of any major changes you support.

Election integrity. Elimination of voting machines. Single day voting. Limited mail in ballots. Voter role validations and cleaning.

Not necessarily revision but continued efforts to reduce taxes, border security, 1A/2A defense.

What's your position on Texas House Speaker Dade Phelan?

Too much control is given to the liberal democrats on committees. Doesnt seem to be aligned with conservative values in a lot of cases.

Budget

Would you support legislative action to establish a salary framework (possibly related to the Gov. salary) for all taxpayer funded employees with a stipulation that elected officials be required to get voter approval to exceed that framework for their own salaries?

I support establishing a salary framework for all taxpayer funded employees.

Education

Do you support or oppose social programs in our schools (like C-Scope, Common Core, CRT, International Baccalaureate, SEL, etc.)? Why or why not?

I oppose social programs in schools. Our schools are there to give our children a solid foundation in which to be successful in life. Not to impose political or social indoctrination on our children.

Ethics

Is there anything in your background of an embarrassing nature that should be explained before your election? Arrests/Convictions? Bankruptcys?

None

Do you agree with precinct chairs involvement in republican primaries? Why or why not?

The republican party should not be selecting candidates. They should only be supporting/endorsing candidates after they are the elected primary candidate.

Should the county GOP chair be involved in any other political organizations, including PAC's, while serving a term as the chairman? Why or why not?

No as PACs and political organizations do not always represent the party platform or the people's will. They are in a large part driven by money.

At what point should the "right to life" or "personhood" be granted to new human beings (e.g., at conception, sign of heartbeat, 3 months of pregnancy, birth, 5 days old, etc)? What action, if any, will you take to reflect this in law?

Conception. All life is sacred.

Support any candidates who also support the same.

Advocate/support for any legislation which supports the right to life.

Immigration

What, if anything, should be done to protect our borders from illegal immigration?

Finish building the wall would help in the control of the border.

Enforcing our current laws on immigration would be great.

More money to truly provide border security. Current administration seems to be spending a lot on flooding our country with immigrants instead of enforcing our laws.

Passing stronger enforcement laws.

Other

What does being a conservative mean to you?

Limiting big government. Power back to the locals.

Fiscal responsibility. Tax and spend less. Spend where it counts for the benefit of the people.

No social or political programs in our public schools. Parents rights.

Rule of law. Judicial reform. Conservative constitutional judges.

Protect life.

List 3 changes that should be made to how elections are conducted in Montgomery County.

Elimination of voting machines. Single day voting. Limited mail in ballots. Voter role validations and cleaning.

Do you support current RPT chair Matt Rinaldi in full and if not, what do you disagree with?

I fully support Matt Rinaldi as RPT chair as long as he acts within the best interest of the people of Texas and maintains true conservative values and the associated actions.
