Questionnaire

General

What 2 things about your opponent do the voters need to know?

1. I have never seen nor met Tommy Duke, nor seen him at any local Republican CEC events.

2. I do not recall Tommy Duke participating in any precint activites, party rallies, parades, voter registration drives at local festivals,  or otherwise is he known locally participating in elections.

This is a Republican primary race.  Do you promise, if elected, to abide by the RPT platform? And if not, please enumerate what problems you have.

If I am re-elected I will continue to abide fully with the RPT platform.

Define what the word "Conservative" means to you.

Conservative means to me being careful and thoughtful and and a good steward with the tax dollars you are taking from the people that you are representing.

Are you willing to put in the time necessary to attend CEC meetings, additional committee meetings, training sessions, blockwalking, etc?

These things I have done, and if re-elected I will continue to do.

Do you think the 'Republican' brand should be used by PACs in their names that may deceive voters? Why or why not?"

That is very confusing to almost everyone, and until about 8 years ago I was also very confused going to the poles to vote and being handed multiple different flyers with Republican endorsements, recommending different "Republican" causes, and trying to research whom created it and why was very deceiving and led me to distrust them.

What best describes your political ideology most(circle only one).
1.        Republican
2.        Grassroots
3.        Conservative
4.        Tea Party

Grassroots.

How do you believe precinct chairs should be involved in elections? (election judge, clerk, none?)

I believe and practice educating and recruiting neighborhood folks to fill the roles of judge and clerk, and myself as precint chair my primary role is to prepare and hold a local precint convention when it is necessary.

Do you like the Steering Committee style of leadership currently in place or that of just a county chairman?

Oh yes the Steering Committee is without a doubt the best way to stay in tune and in touch with what the body of the CEC wants, and I don't belive my opponent even knows what that is. I declare and am running for re-election because my current County Chairman acts like a tyrant.

Do you beieve that the county chair/precinct chairs should actively participate in at least one committee?

Honestly there are many many local opportunities to just do grassroots voter education without having to form a committee to do that, I believe a precint chair is a soldier mostly in the structure of the CEC.

Should the county GOP chair be involved with fundraising? Why or why not?

Yes , because it takes money to get the GOP word out to the voters in the precint, printing material is expensive but necessary, and postage isn't free either.

Should party primaries be "open" or "closed" & why?

~Not Answered Yet~

Should the GOP County Chair be selected by the elected County Executive Committee, or in the Open primaries where Democrats can cross over for more moderate candidates?

~Not Answered Yet~

There's discussion about making major revisions to the RPT Platform. Please describe the nature of any major changes you support.

What's your position on Texas House Speaker Dade Phelan?

~Not Answered Yet~

Budget

Would you support legislative action to establish a salary framework (possibly related to the Gov. salary) for all taxpayer funded employees with a stipulation that elected officials be required to get voter approval to exceed that framework for their own salaries?

Yes absolutely.

Education

Do you support or oppose social programs in our schools (like C-Scope, Common Core, CRT, International Baccalaureate, SEL, etc.)? Why or why not?

I do not support at all any of the aforementioned ideologies or programs in my local schools, and in fact I am very vocal in my objections to it . I homeschooled my oldest grand daughter to keep her out of the local CISD system for 2 years until we found a new local charter school that teaches western culture, greek, latin, and curriculum publised by Prager University and Hillsdale College. I am active on the PTO board of her school and very well known within the school for finding and creating good wholesome programs and education choices, books and authors that do not subscribe or have any back ground in any SEL or CRT etc, I am 1 of the recruiters for teachers for this school.

Ethics

Is there anything in your background of an embarrassing nature that should be explained before your election? Arrests/Convictions? Bankruptcys?

No

Do you agree with precinct chairs involvement in republican primaries? Why or why not?

~Not Answered Yet~

Should the county GOP chair be involved in any other political organizations, including PAC's, while serving a term as the chairman? Why or why not?

No, that postion can and is being abused right now for that purpose.

At what point should the "right to life" or "personhood" be granted to new human beings (e.g., at conception, sign of heartbeat, 3 months of pregnancy, birth, 5 days old, etc)? What action, if any, will you take to reflect this in law?

At conception.

Immigration

What, if anything, should be done to protect our borders from illegal immigration?

A very very large wall, need to halt all illegal immigration immediately.

Other

What does being a conservative mean to you?

It means being careful with tax payer money, it means being a good steward with other peoples resources, it means showing by example these things .

List 3 changes that should be made to how elections are conducted in Montgomery County.

It needs to be accurately audited locally by an elected body in a public way. True paper ballots that are hand counted by a sworn election judge at each precint. Elections should be held on 1 day , a saturday .

Do you support current RPT chair Matt Rinaldi in full and if not, what do you disagree with?

I support Matt fully, he has been a good leader for the party.
