What 2 things about your opponent do the voters need to know?
Practicing Christian, life long conservative republican with strong family values
Retired oil executive with common sense and strong values
This is a Republican primary race. Do you promise, if elected, to abide by the RPT platform? And if not, please enumerate what problems you have.
Yes
Define what the word "Conservative" means to you.
Follow and honor US constitution, legally and ethically responsible, support law enforcement, border security, American sovereignty, fairness and equal justice for all plus election integrity and the fact that government's role is to serve the citizens
Are you willing to put in the time necessary to attend CEC meetings, additional committee meetings, training sessions, blockwalking, etc?
Yes and have done so in my current service as Precint 5 Chairman
Do you think the 'Republican' brand should be used by PACs in their names that may deceive voters? Why or why not?"
Nothing should be done to knowingly deceive voters. Honest leadership is the only acceptable course of action
What best describes your political ideology most(circle only one).
1. Republican
2. Grassroots
3. Conservative
4. Tea Party
Grassroots -- active participation at the local level in an effort to make a positive impact to advance the goals of the Republican Party
How do you believe precinct chairs should be involved in elections? (election judge, clerk, none?)
Yes. Block walking, distributing / communicating election information, voter registration, serving as election judges
Do you like the Steering Committee style of leadership currently in place or that of just a county chairman?
Grassroots -- precinct chairman representing their constituents serving on a Steering Committee. As per Abe Lincoln " of the people, by the people, for the people"?
Do you beieve that the county chair/precinct chairs should actively participate in at least one committee?
Yes. I currently serve on several committees
Should the county GOP chair be involved with fundraising? Why or why not?
Yes. Raising funds to increase voter turnout and support those activity seeking office is critical. Leadership by example trickles down thus when the county GOP chair is seen as an active participant in fund raising it provides a positive example for the precinct chairs to follow
Should party primaries be "open" or "closed" & why?
Closed. Helps to ensure that crossover voters can not negatively impact election results
Should the GOP County Chair be selected by the elected County Executive Committee, or in the Open primaries where Democrats can cross over for more moderate candidates?
Of the two choices, election by the CEC (county executive committee) is my preferred choice
There's discussion about making major revisions to the RPT Platform. Please describe the nature of any major changes you support.
I support the party platform, any proposed change would be to have our leaders read and abide by it
