Define what the word "Conservative" means to you.

A conservative is a person who believes there are absolute truths in the world that are not changed by the whims of the public. A conservative has priorities that emphasize G-d, Family, and Country.

Are you willing to put in the time necessary to attend CEC meetings, additional committee meetings, training sessions, blockwalking, etc?

Yes, I am willing to attend meeting and block walk promoting conservative issues.

Do you think the 'Republican' brand should be used by PACs in their names that may deceive voters? Why or why not?"

I do not feel it is necessary for conservatives to “deceive” voters. Most people, at least in my community, have a learning toward conservative issues. I feel conservatives must speak the truth, but be willing to listen to both sides of issues. The answer is “no”.

How do you believe precinct chairs should be involved in elections? (election judge, clerk, none?)

I believe that Precinct Chairs should be outside in the parking lots during early voting and election days, promoting Republican Principles to educate all Voters who show up at the polls.

Do you like the Steering Committee style of leadership currently in place or that of just a county chairman?

Bottom up management, like we currently have, is best. My administrative classes taught us that the people at the bottom know best what is going on.

Do you beieve that the county chair/precinct chairs should actively participate in at least one committee?

Yes

Should the county GOP chair be involved with fundraising? Why or why not?

Yes, it’s an important part of the political process.

Should party primaries be "open" or "closed" & why?

Closed primaries are best to prevent outside interference. It is sad to say there is sometimes a lack of ethics in politics.

Should the GOP County Chair be selected by the elected County Executive Committee, or in the Open primaries where Democrats can cross over for more moderate candidates?

They should be selected by the County Executive Committee,  because of potential problems resulting from allowing Democrats to cross over in selecting poor candidates.

There's discussion about making major revisions to the RPT Platform. Please describe the nature of any major changes you support.

My grandparents were immigrants and (at least) one person in the family was required to pass an English competency text. Immigrants coming to the country will be contributing to this country. How will they be able to make a positive impact if they are not able to communicate with the current citizens? It should be a requirement that every family (or individual if they come by themself) pass an English competency test.

What's your position on Texas House Speaker Dade Phelan?

Dade Phelan should resign. He has performed poorly

Would you support legislative action to establish a salary framework (possibly related to the Gov. salary) for all taxpayer funded employees with a stipulation that elected officials be required to get voter approval to exceed that framework for their own salaries?

Yes

Do you support or oppose social programs in our schools (like C-Scope, Common Core, CRT, International Baccalaureate, SEL, etc.)? Why or why not?

As an educator for over 30 years I believe parents should play a major part in the education of their children. I do not feel most families are interested in rewriting history and promoting propaganda in public school. We are a great country and should not move away from that history.

Is there anything in your background of an embarrassing nature that should be explained before your election? Arrests/Convictions? Bankruptcys?

No.

Yes, As I said before, the people at the bottom are the ones who know best what is going on.

Should the county GOP chair be involved in any other political organizations, including PAC's, while serving a term as the chairman? Why or why not?

It does not sound like a good idea. Money organizations tend to be corrupting.

At what point should the "right to life" or "personhood" be granted to new human beings (e.g., at conception, sign of heartbeat, 3 months of pregnancy, birth, 5 days old, etc)? What action, if any, will you take to reflect this in law?

Like most people of faith, the right to life is a major issue in my family. Abortions are a business set up around destroying a life. I am also a retired paramedic and witnessed abortions during hospital training. It is a barbaric practice. I can go along with exceptions, when the life of the mother is at stake. I would prefer there be no abortions, but understand compromise may be necessary. But, no unborn should be aborted with a heart beat.

What, if anything, should be done to protect our borders from illegal immigration?

Finish the wall. Also, there also should be a national registry of people in the country illegally. Citizens without jobs should be given priority over people here illegally.

The scriptures tell us that “conservatives” are the salt of the earth and without them, the land loses the blessings of G-d.

List 3 changes that should be made to how elections are conducted in Montgomery County.

• Cameras should be everywhere that the ballots travel, are being handled, or are being counted.
• Watermarked Paper Ballots; no machines. The printing and quantity of printed ballots should be tightly controlled.
• The process for Citizens to call for a hand recount, including Mail In and Overseas Ballots, should be made much easier. It should be made much more difficult for a hand recount to be denied by Election Officials.
