Born and raised in rural Colorado county Texas.  Became politically active after waking up to all things Covid.  Served as Precinct Chair while in Fort Bend County.  Ran for SREC SD18 in 2022.  Ran for school board in 2023.  Homeschool mom to my oldest.

Questionnaire

General

Name 3 primary reasons why you are running for RPT Chair (i.e. including what changes, if any, are needed).

1.  I was anxiously awaiting a female Vice Chair candidate to announce after hearing Dana Myers announce her bid for Chair.  I kept asking around, and the more I asked the more it was suggested to me that I should run.  After being asked to run a few times, I prayed on it and dove right into it.

2.  For some time now, we've seen Vice Chair candidates run on various special projects they felt the need to take on if elected.  For example, Dana Myers ran on "election integrity."  Adrienne Penna-Garza ran on taking on "the border."  The role of the Vice Chair is easily summed up in one or two sentences according to the bylaws.  The Vice Chair is to support the Chair in his or her role, as well as being an ex-officio member of all committees.  That being said, I will not be committing to any special side projects while campaigning.  The Chair has a several official duties.  My job as Vice Chair if elected, is to support and work with the Chair while standing on my principles.  How refreshing it will be to have a Chair and Vice Chair working together again.

3.  The party must enforce their rules and legislative priority bills must get a floor vote.  I will do everything in my power to effect change in both aspects.

Do you believe in the Texas Republican Party Platform? Do you feel it should be downsized? Please explain.

Yes, I support the Texas Republican Party Platform.  I've honestly never heard an argument in favor of downsizing the platform.  The official platform was and is implemented by the will of the people.

The election process in choosing a House Speaker appears to be broken. What can you do to fiix it?

If we are to keep RPT Plank 83 and RPT Plank 218, I feel as though the wording should be changed to "record vote" rather than "secret ballot."  Maybe we should also add that it will only be considered a binding caucus if there is in fact a record vote.  Republican members hide behind the secret ballot and escape any possible accountability.

Do you believe the Texas Election Code should be removed from the Party Rules and if so, why?

Yes.  We are a private entity/party and fully within our rights to run our elections as we see fit.

What should be the legislative priorities for the coming session?

!.  Protect our Elections

2. Ban Democratic Chairs

3. Abolish Abortion

4. Stop Sexualizing Texas Kids (Unfortunately The Reader Act doesn't have enough teeth and SEL isate still all over classrooms)

5. Secure the Border

6. Defend our Gun Rights

7. Eliminate Property Tax

8. Eliminate any and all Federal Funding and Oversight from Texas Public Education

Should Texas GOP limit their elected officials to 8 years or less from the same office, even though it will force some good candidates to leave an office?

Honestly, this is something I have mixed feelings on.  I'm open to hearing discussion on both sides, but I'm undecided on this one.

Should the Republican Party close its primaries. Why or why not?

Yes.  We have Democrats actively pushing other Democrats into our primaries to vote for the more liberal/moderate Republican candidates.

The SREC is tasked with enforcing the Rules adopted at the last convention. Have they done their jobs and if not, what & why not and how can you fix it?

I appreciate our SREC's.  I feel as though with the right leadership, our SREC's will feel more comfortable to take action.

Are you willing to call out Legislators that will not support the Party Platform?

Yes!  Absolutely!  100%

At an SREC meeting, if a motion was up for petitioning the State of Texas to release RPT from state law, in exchange for the State of Texas not providing tax funds to defray election costs, would you vote for or against? Why?

I feel as though this is a trick question since the Republican Party of Texas is a private entity/party and therefore does not need to be "released" from state law.

As a Republican, if you had to give up one of the following core principles, which one would you select first and why?
a. pro-life;
b. 10% reduction in state, fed, local spending;
c. 2nd amendment;
d. illegal immigration;
e. foreign bases;
f.  10th amendment

I don't believe we support foreign bases, but if we did it would be that one.  Our own U.S. government is our biggest threat in my opinion.

Budget

Fundraising for the party is a big part of the RPT Chairs job. How does fundraising this year compare w/prior years? How is the fundraising going that will eventually be used to meet all expenses the RPT incurs, including the state convention? Please explain.

We definitely have work to do in the area of fundraising.  A friend of mine who has now passed used to always say, "Republicans must get out of the party with ourselves attitude."  For example, the LRD galas are in fact alot of fun to attend.  I enjoy them just as much as the next person.  I would love to see that money be spent on more family oriented events.  This would also help with bringing the youth into the party.  The answer lies within our youth.  We have to completely rethink our approach to fundraising.  We must take the necessary steps to make everyone feel comfortable with donating to the party again.  In a perfect world, I would love to see individual donations be the majority of funds raised.

Ethics

Is there anything in your background of an embarrassing nature that should be explained before your election? Arrests/Convictions? Bankruptcies?

Nobody is perfect or has the perfect past.  Myself included.  This however, allows me to have a different outlook on things than most.  I'm not ashamed or embarassed of these things however.  They have made me who I am today.  When I was 21 years old and in college, I rented a carpet clleaning machine and returned it late.  I didn't pay the late fees and they filed "theft of services" charges against me.  I turned myself in for an afternoon and the charges were later dropped.  In 2012 or 2013, I was arrested in Galveston county after being pulled over.  I had prescription medication that was't in its proper bottle.  Once I showed proof of the prescription the charges were dropped.  As the saying goes:  Every saint has a past, and every sinner has a future.

Who are the top 2 donors to your campaign?

Myself and my father

What is your current family & employment situation that enables you to take on the responsibilities of the State Chairmanship?

I'm self employed and have a 12 and 14 year old.  My family is nearby to help when I'm on the road.

Immigration

Amnesty comes in many forms.  What's your view as it pertains to Texas?

No amnesty.  Period!

Other

In your opinion, who runs the County Executive Committees(CEC) - the elected County Chair or the elected Precinct Chairs?

The precinct chairs.  We are bottom up, not top down.

What's your opinion of RPT Platform Plank 248, regarding the CEC electing their chairman, like the Congress and State Legislature elects their speakers, rather than in the primary?

I'm absolutely in favor of the county executive committee electing their chairman.

What would you be willing to do to rein in rogue county chairs?

I really feel as though this issue would somewhat resolve itself with closed primaries.  Furthermore, if we followed the official RPT platform and elected our chairmen within the county executive committees then that would be ideal.  Until then, I'm open to ideas.  We absolutely must follow our official rules.

Given the division within county partys, what combination of quorums, elected status, seniority etc would you support to prevent such division in the future?

If there is division within a county party, there is usually good reason for it.  As we know, not everyone in politics has pure intentions.  I'm not willing to compromise my principles and neither should others.  It is not the role of the Vice Chair to intervene in such a situation as long as all rules/bylaws are being followed.  I will always be willing to listen and visit as much as possible.

Related to the previous question regarding fairness … and the issue of a conservative county chairman (and assuming that there was a pattern of unfairness), would you openly support replacement of the conservative chair over this matter? Even when you would be on the minority side?

The term "unfairness" is a broad term.  Life isn't always fair unfortunately.  I would need more information.  Regarding being on the minority side of things; I have been on the minority side of things more often than not.  I'm not in this to be popular or liked.  I'm in this to be a principled leader and lead by example.
