General

Name 3 primary reasons why you are running for RPT Chair (i.e. including what changes, if any, are needed).

I have always been behind the scenes negotiating, collaborating, and building relationships for the candidates we believe in. Putting myself out there to run and talking about myself has taken me out of my comfort zone for sure. But when I saw the position and looked at my experience I knew this was the right fit for me.

  1. WE MUST GET TRUMP, CRUZ, & ALL REPUBLICANS ELECTED! That will be my #1 PRIORITY!
  2. EXPERIENCE: I have been involved since 2008.  I have worked on campaigns from Congress to School Board and even school bond elections. I have been a Precinct Chair for 11 years in total. I was a House District Chair. I was elected as a Delegate to the National Convention in 2016. I have worked for Attorney General Ken Paxton when he was Senator Ken Paxton as his Constituent Relations Director, Senator Bob Hall as his District Director, and Senator Angela Paxton as her Campaign Manager. They aren’t people I had a friend of a friend call.  They know my character, my work ethic, and my integrity and have all endorsed me. I have more endorsements on my website at RandallForTexas.com.
  3. I will Engage with Voters.
    1. We have 30% of registered Republican voters that did not vote. We must go after them.
    2. We have record amount of black and Hispanic voters coming our way because the left has gone too far. We must capitalize on it! I have experience of doing voter registration drives. We did two at Cinco de Mayo festivals.
    3. Woman vote – We appealed to them about crime, homelessness, and steer them from abortion. I have experience doing this. One Example: I wanted to have a subgroup to reach young mothers. The ‘Republican’ name was a non-starter. I came up with a group within our club and called it Network of Engaged Women (NEW).  The logo was very cool and edgy. I created programs that brought young mothers.  Our first go was on School Choice. I had a catered lunch, childcare, the fire department brought a fire truck, and we had a bounce house. I advertised in the family paper and on a local radio show. The speakers were: Richardson ISD, the Charter school Principal, The Texas Homeschool Coalition, and a private school. We were thrilled with 40 women in attendance.
    4. Marketing our brand has to be done better and sharper. I would like to see us come up with a simple slogan. The democrats are good at their messaging because they only do 3-4 word campaigns:  War On Women, Pay Your Fair Share, For The Kids

Do you believe in the Texas Republican Party Platform? Do you feel it should be downsized? Please explain.

It is long but we are a big state. There are many delegates that love this state and want real change and the platform reflects that. When you are a ‘Bottom Up Party.’ Meaning we listen to PC’s and then SREC’s, County Chairs. The platform are markers for what the grassroots have heard from the people.

The election process in choosing a House Speaker appears to be broken. What can you do to fiix it?

Voters do well when they voted for Lt. Gov. He has been an organized machine. During all the special sessions, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick had the senate bills within hours. Whereas, the SOH didn’t have a quorum some days! Each Special Session cost millions to the taxpayers. I worked on the SOH office, when I worked for then Representative Ken Paxton. I then worked for Representative Scott Turner as his campaign manager when he ran for Speaker Of the House. I saw all the shenanigans and it fuels me to see a true conservative legislator coming in! I think the Representatives know they are being watched. Hopefully, that will bring bold, conservative, and strong legislation.

Do you believe the Texas Election Code should be removed from the Party Rules and if so, why?

I do believe it needs to be removed. It helps us govern without government interference. The Tarrant County election is a perfect example with the Democrat winning in a Republican seat. Democrats cite the reason his election is legal is because of the Texas Election Code in our Party Rules. If this is a success the Dems will do it in every race.

What should be the legislative priorities for the coming session?

  1. Election Integrity
  2. Closing the Border
  3. Education – Schools that focus on gender ideology will lose state funds. This ideology is crippling our children. It is stunting their academic growth. It is a Marxist take over and they are harming our children in a severe way. This is breaking families. It is also taking God out of their lives. If you can change your gender than you are your own god. These sweet babies are so ‘me’ focused they are depressed. They need to be taught that they are beautifully and wonderfully made. Lastly, teachers want to reclaim their profession from these evil forces.
  4. Colleges and public schools that implement Biden’s Title IV will lose state funds. We must protect women & girls. The Bible is pretty clear about protecting children.
  5. End Taxpayer funded lobbyists. We are paying lobbyists to go against the very platform our legislators are to adhere to. This cannot stand.

Should Texas GOP limit their elected officials to 8 years or less from the same office, even though it will force some good candidates to leave an office?

I think voters should be the term limiters. I’ve seen that the bad ones will just get someone like minded to run for their seat. These new candidates will be groomed and will get the same money to do the same bidding for the special interest. There are good ones that we don’t want to limit. I also don’t think it should be a seat for life.

Should the Republican Party close its primaries. Why or why not?

I do. Democrats and teachers received another set of texts and emails, in the race in Rockwall, to go vote for the moderate. What has the moderate promised the Democrats?

The SREC is tasked with enforcing the Rules adopted at the last convention. Have they done their jobs and if not, what & why not and how can you fix it?

The SREC job is not for the faint of heart! They are the board of the RPT. They must abide by the rules, listen to the PC’s (who listen to their voters), and execute tough decisions. I know Rule 44 is controversial for those that believed the rule was not written strong enough. I am friends with one of those SREC members and he has endorsed me. However, I felt it was awesome because I have been in the trenches for more than a decade on SOH. It was the only recourse we had for accountability. It was a breath of fresh air when I saw that the Republican Party had a backbone. We are fighters and when we have people in place that are fighters there is harmony. I say that in jest but also because people believe the Republican Party IS the last defense that we have against the madness of the left.

Are you willing to call out Legislators that will not support the Party Platform?

YES! I love that Chairman Rinaldi didn’t back down. He showed that there was no more go along to get along in Republican leadership. If you can’t support the platform then why are you running as a Republican? You can’t use our brand and not believe in the product. We are a Bottom Up party and the work that the grassroots does is vital. Some of the planks may be controversial but strong legislators are able to weather the storm.

At an SREC meeting, if a motion was up for petitioning the State of Texas to release RPT from state law, in exchange for the State of Texas not providing tax funds to defray election costs, would you vote for or against? Why?

Yes I would.  Freedom to conduct our business is more important that getting a few dollars from the government for a primary.

As a Republican, if you had to give up one of the following core principles, which one would you select first and why?
a. pro-life;
b. 10% reduction in state, fed, local spending;
c. 2nd amendment;
d. illegal immigration;
e. foreign bases;
f.  10th amendment

This is a hard question. Pro-life is the most important but these are all vital to our survival. I guess if I was strategizing it out, I would get rid of e. foreign bases. Because the 10th Amendment could be enforced because that harms Texas so we could enact the 10th Amendment. However, we are Republicans we can protect ALL OF THE ABOVE!

Budget

Fundraising for the party is a big part of the RPT Chairs job. How does fundraising this year compare w/prior years? How is the fundraising going that will eventually be used to meet all expenses the RPT incurs, including the state convention? Please explain.

Currently, we have $1.7M in the bank. I have heard candidates say there is $300K. That is true for the operating budget. Either way, I think it is low. I have a lot of experience in fundraising. I know if we have a strong product we will raise the money. Look at what happened at the RNC. Lara Trump came in and cleaned house and the RNC set a fundraising record! People want strong leadership. Texans deserve it. Dr. Dana Myers talks about that she has donors in her pocket that are waiting for her to be elected and they will unleash their money. Why didn’t she unleash that as a Vice Chair? Her conflicts were bigger than her belief in the party? My loyalty is with the Republican Party of Texas. The Vice Chairs role is to help with the fundraising. We have FIVE months left we need more money but we will also be spending it because this IS the most important election of our lifetimes.

Ethics

Is there anything in your background of an embarrassing nature that should be explained before your election? Arrests/Convictions? Bankruptcies?

No.

Who are the top 2 donors to your campaign?

Myself and my uncle at $500. The Vice Chair is not required to file with the TEC. I have  donors of $20 to $250. My uncle is my biggest donor.

What is your current family & employment situation that enables you to take on the responsibilities of the State Chairmanship?

I am a realtor. I also have an assistant to take up for my absence.

Immigration

Amnesty comes in many forms.  What's your view as it pertains to Texas?

I am against amnesty. Abraham George gives the amazing story of his family. It took them 14 years to get their U.S. application to be approved. Anything worth having is worth fighting for. Cheating or stealing your pathway should never be condoned.

Other

In your opinion, who runs the County Executive Committees(CEC) - the elected County Chair or the elected Precinct Chairs?

I have spoke with the County Chairs at length. There is conflict in this area. One thing that I saw that one County GOP did was did a graph showing the amount of votes and/or the amount of Republican vs. Democrat for the Precinct Chairs. This was a light on how some in our party focus their energy on others and not themselves. Once that slice of humility is served then it is the Chair that should see what they can do to help this PC with their job.

Moving to Harris County has been God’s direction. First for my son because he went to an amazing school.  The second was the understanding the importance of block walking. I was very active as a House District & a Precinct Chair in Collin County and knew my neighbors and my neighborhood. I was also PTA president and knew all the families. Then we moved here. When I became a Precinct Chair and met up with Bill Ely, Terry Wheeler, Clark, they had goals. First one was to walk 30,000 houses for the Cy-fair Election. We got THREE board members in office. The next Cy-Fair election the goal was 50,000 houses. We got another TWO board members in and the third only lost by 1,300 votes. They never discussed what was going on at HCRP. I call it the, “Shut-Up and Block Walk Plan.” It works!

What's your opinion of RPT Platform Plank 248, regarding the CEC electing their chairman, like the Congress and State Legislature elects their speakers, rather than in the primary?

Taking the decision out of the hands of the voters is not who we are as Republicans. So this is a strong no for me.

What would you be willing to do to rein in rogue county chairs?

I would follow the (RPT)Chairman’s direction and guidance. I would hope he steps in when needed. If I get involved it would only be as someone echoing his decision. If I disagree with him it looks like there is division at the top. We have had too much of that and it has proven unproductive. Too many cooks in the kitchen when the kitchen is on fire only adds chaos.

Given the division within county partys, what combination of quorums, elected status, seniority etc would you support to prevent such division in the future?

Robert’s Rules is a great equalizer. Unfortunately, too many county parties that are in battle at this time and it’s between moderates and conservatives. This is nothing new, it’s been a struggle going back to Ronald Reagan. It takes strong leadership and humility on both sides to end it. I want to help with the reconciliation and mediation between the groups. I would like to see us work on the arguments of this struggle AFTER the election in November. They must look out for Texas. Our country’s livelihood is in the crosshairs.

Related to the previous question regarding fairness … and the issue of a conservative county chairman (and assuming that there was a pattern of unfairness), would you openly support replacement of the conservative chair over this matter? Even when you would be on the minority side?

If the County Chair is doing things unethically then that would be the need for replacement. If there is fundamental issue, after the election we can solve it. Otherwise, Shut Up and Block Walk!  I am simplifying but when I was a President of a club I led a group of 40 women. Forty Type-A women that knew their country was being destroyed! Was their conflict? YES! However, I always steered them back to our goals: Get conservative leaders elected! That was the only thing that mattered. When you have a common goal then you can put everything else aside and fight for the greater good; getting PRESIDENT TRUMP, SENATOR CRUZ, & ALL REPUBLICANS ELECTED!
